Leadership and Virtual Teams

“Leading” virtual teams has little to do with the classic role of leadership. We can hardly guarantee the productivity of self-employed workers with specifications and controls. Given how mobile work limits management’s ability to control people, leaders need to develop a new and more productive self-understanding of their role.

In the virtual workspace, leadership, performance, control and responsibility based on an agile mindset fit better than classical management. We still absolutely need managers. But their role is fundamentally changing. In this training we help managers to make the shift to an agile leadership mindset for virtual teams. We include media topics such as digital whiteboards and the visualization of work, the moderating role of management, as well as the impact of voice, appearance and technology online.

After the training, participants know how to understand and fulfill their leadership role and feel oriented and confident in their task as managers in the virtual space.
